1. Required Materials
In order to create Digital 3D Art, you’ll need the following materials:
- PC Or Laptop With High Functioning Graphics Card
- Mouse
- Programming knowledge and A Decent Understanding of Math (Optional)
- 3D Modeling Software (I use Blender)
PC Graphics – Creating 3D Renders are Extremely Taxing on your Graphics Processing Hardware (Graphics Card) I reccommend you have something a Reasonably fast graphics card in order to create quick renders
Mouse – Mouse of The Software I Recommend for this will require a 3 button mouse in order to work efficiently
Programming and Math – One of the most powerful things you can do with 3D Graphics Rendering is Programming Shaders. This is a language that lets you talk directly to your Graphics card and tell it what to display on the screen. This requires some knowledge in Vector math as the graphics card is a very fancy calculator.

1. Required Materials
Going from a 3D Model to a Physical Model Doesn’t take as long as it used to thanks to modern technology like 3D Printing and CNC Machining, but it does still require lots of things:
- 3D Printer Or CNC (and Materials)
- Slicer Program
- 3D Model
- CAD Software
- SD Card and Storage Device
- A Ruler or Other Measurement Tool
- Patience
All you really need to get started is a Computer with a decent enough Graphics card to Render 3D Objects, if you don’t have that, you can plot out dimensions of something you’d like to design on a piece of graph paper or cut it out of cardboard!
